Massey Bros. “Ireland’s Biggest Coffee Morning” raising money for Our Lady’s Hospice & Care Services

Massey Bros. was delighted to take part in “Ireland’s Biggest Coffee Morning” to raise money for Our Lady’s Hospice & Care Services.

Massey Bros held coffee mornings right across our branches over the month of September. We are a long standing supporter of Our Lady’s Hospice & Care Services and the wonderful work they do and it was great to share a cuppa with friends old and new in support of this most worthy cause.

Community Care hits a high note

The Community Care Foundation was established by staff in Massey Brothers Funeral Directors five years ago to support community groups and families in need throughout the capital.

To date, the charity has raised more than €125,000, predominantly through concerts performed by the Friends of Hope Choir, which performed with the Dublin Concert Orchestra at the National Concert Hall this week giving the concert entitled ‘A Gift of Music’.

Massey Bros Funeral Homes Charity Concert

Friends of Hope Choir - Massey Bros Funeral Homes Community Charity

The Friends of Hope Choir’s “Community Care Foundation Christmas Concert” took place on December 14th in St. Anthony’s Church, Clontarf. Masseys Bros. were delighted to present such a wonderful evening and the concert was a great success. Through a combination of ticket sales and raffle ticket sales, we were able to make a significant contribution to our registered charity “The Community Care Foundation”, which helps families in the communities where we are based, who are struggling financially, especially over the holidays.

The day ended with a buffet meal, an auction and live entertainment provided by artists from the Community Care Foundation Choir including renowned composer and pianist Damien Gallagher, Colm Lalor, Gifford Whittle and Barbara Sheridan.
