Burial typically takes place in a church graveyard or a local cemetery.  Some families may have a plot and others may need to purchase one.

Once you have decided where you would like the burial to take place, Massey Bros. will make the necessary arrangements on your behalf.

If you have an existing family plot, we will require documentation relating to the grave and we will also need to check that there is space for a further burial.  If you have an existing headstone, we can also arrange for a new engraving to be carried out.

If you require a new plot, Massey Bros. will advise you in relation to availability and costs and once agreed, will make the appropriate arrangements.  We can also advise you on the purchase of a headstone or other form of memorial when the time comes.

For more information or to talk to one of our experienced funeral arrangers, please call us on T: 1800 740000or email E: mary@masseybros.com.  We are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

“Just a short note to thank you so much for your support and help to us in organising our brother’s funeral recently. It was a great comfort to all of the family to have such a dignified funeral ceremony.

We particularly appreciated you advice on the liturgy for the funeral mass. Our thanks also to Rod and Peter for their courtesy and support on the day of the funeral”
